Privacy Policy Contacts KIT
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Contacts KIT is a personal application built and used solely by Richard Carroll. It has no other users, and it does not collect or process any other person's account data.
What the app accesses
The app reads Richard Carroll's own Google Contacts through the Google People API, using the contacts.readonly scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.readonly). This is read-only access the app does not create, modify, or delete contacts.
How the data is used and stored
Contact data retrieved from the People API is stored locally on Richard Carroll's own Mac. It is used only by him, on that machine, for managing his own contact records.
The data is not transmitted to any server, not shared with anyone, not sold, not used for advertising, and not processed by any third party. There is no analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind. No data is used to train any AI or machine learning model.
Retention and deletion
The locally stored data is retained only as long as it is useful, and can be deleted at any time by deleting the local files. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account permissions page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions), which stops the app from retrieving any further data.
